1. Hi Julian, tell us the story behind Neota.
Neota is a global no-code automation platform provider with a long history in the LegalTech space. We enable organisations including law firms and legal teams to build and connect a whole suite of digital solutions designed to meet their exact needs, particularly workflow and decision-making solutions.
These tools can ask questions, apply rules and logic, calculate outputs and store and send data anywhere. Our clients leverage these capabilities to launch comprehensive, end-to-end solutions tailored to automate and streamline complex processes, from providing expert advice and assessing risks to managing work queues, generating detailed checklists, and facilitating digital negotiations.
I am the CEO of Neota and have a background in LegalTech, product, design and service delivery and I really enjoy seeing our clients solve problems in a range of innovative ways!
2. What are the services or products that Neota provides?
Neota’s platform enables customers to build, connect, and launch a wide variety of digital solutions that streamline the automation of workflows, knowledge, and documents.
Through our platform, users can create intelligent web-based applications that perform specific tasks, such as collecting data, providing expert advice, automating complex documents, performing analyses, creating checklists, and assessing risk, to name just a few.
These applications can then be linked together to create enterprise grade solutions that automate end-to-end processes. The complexities of real business workflows are catered for, with support for multi-party, multi-stage workflows, simultaneous processes with internal and external users, reminders, timers, emails and so on.
Solutions on our platform can also be connected into any modern third-party platform, helping to enrich solutions, and eliminate data silos. We also have a comprehensive, automated data management layer that underpins these solutions, simplifying the typically complex process of database set up and maintenance.
The end-user experience can be highly tailored with custom designs to deliver modern, engaging interfaces and align with branding requirements.
Our products are accessible to all in a no-code environment with drag and drop tools, and are available to customers as fully self-serve with templates and pre-built building blocks to help get started. We also offer an entirely managed service where we do the building and implementation for you, and anywhere in between.
All of this comes together to enable users to create bespoke digital tools, ranging from client matter onboarding to contract risk assessment, intake portals to contact automation, and anything else you can think up!
3. How does the above optimise the daily operations of an in-house legal team/ law firm?
Our platform enables clients to reduce service delivery costs through digitalisation and therefore avoiding manual interactions via email, phone, or a physical interview. We can increase efficiency by shortening the cycle time of each step in the process offering the user a faster path to access the assistance they need. We boost productivity by allowing lawyers to focus on higher value work and leaving routine, repetitive tasks to be automatically facilitated through digital channels.
4. What do you believe will be the most significant change in how in-house legal teams use technology in the next 10 years?
I expect lawyers to replicate other industries such as financial services, property and insurance to embrace digital service delivery and complement high-end legal work with a digital product led layer to streamline user experience.
