LegalTech Soapbox: Enrich your daily operations with Legalboards.
Featured in our LegalTech Soapbox Series this month is Legalboards. Born out of a large firm’s desire to become more efficient, Legalboards was created by co-founders Rafael and Taina Miranda to offer the same efficiency boost for law teams. Officially launching as a product in 2019, Legalboards is a visual way to manage legal operations. Legalboards allows legal workflows to manage themselves by providing the means for tasks to find their rightful owners and sending automated reminders without manual intervention. By equipping Kanban boards with the power of automation, legal professionals can save time on repetitive tasks without sacrificing quality.
1. Hi Taina, tell us the story behind Legalboards.
My co-founder and I have been working in the legal tech field for more than 15 years, providing tech solutions primarily focused on large-scale litigation cases. This rich background set the stage for the creation of Legalboards in 2019, aimed at revolutionising legal workflow management with innovative technology. We started by servicing small and mid-sized law firms, crafting a system designed to streamline and enhance the efficiency of legal operations.
2. What are the services or products that Legalboards provides?
Legalboards operates on two fronts:
- Custom Services: We start with a discovery consultation to understand a firm's workflow, then create customised tech integrations charged on an hourly basis.
- Legal Workflow Platform: Our adaptable, Kanban-based platform is ready for any legal team to start immediately with a user-based subscription plan. It integrates smoothly with various legal technologies, ideal for mid-sized law firms and in-house legal teams.
3. How does the above optimise the daily operations of an in-house legal team/ law firm?
Our goal is to help law firms scale like tech startups, using standardised procedures and integrated tech solutions to streamline operations. This approach lets law firms manage more cases and complex issues efficiently, supporting scalable growth without losing quality.
4. What do you believe will be the most significant change in how in-house legal teams use technology in the next 10 years?
I foresee a major shift in how legal teams adopt technology, moving from a trendy choice to an essential part of their operations. This will enhance efficiency and management, opening new avenues for revenue and improved client satisfaction. More law firms will turn to customised tech solutions that specifically address their needs and challenges.
